Too Grown Too Fast???

Actress Jada Pinket-Smith has caught quite a bit of flack ever since her pre-pubescent children, 10-year-old singer Willow and 12-year-old actor/rapper Jaden have taken the entertainment industry by storm in what seems like an overnight success. Though some believe that the children are being exposed to the industry too young, Jada doesn’t see anything wrong with her kids making their own choices and expressing themselves creatively.

The 39-year-old Hawthorne actress claims that her family is her main priority, and she’ has learned to put her work second to home life.

“I see my children as little people, not necessarily people to control. You’ve got to help them develop and become individuals. You have to find out who they are but enforce boundaries to keep them safe. [Willow]’s simply being creative. I’m not worried about her growing up too soon.[...]I’m very clear about what my priority is and that’s my family. I used to struggle juggling work and family at the beginning. It’s hard when you change from being single to being married to being a mother. But now I’m turning 40, I’ve found a peaceful compromise. I feel very content.”

The Game: How It Ended...

We patiently waited two years for “The Game” to be resurrected. After petitions and support of millions of fans, BET brought the show back with all its original characters. Fans were uber excited, only the show wasn’t the same.


The once likable characters were now unlikable; and all of their lives were filled with drama. Last night’s season finale wasn’t any different. There was no resolve with any of the characters. And the ending was predictable for some while shocking for others.

Now Sean Combs’ rep is denying the engagement story. We know that story didn’t just materialize out of the air. Someone in Sean’s camp leaked that story to Star magazine and Star got duped. It happens to the best of us. Anyway, the next publicity stunt from the king of stunters is already shaping up. Did you hear about the tranny auditioning for Sean’s new reality series? Yet another pathetic grab for attention from Sean.


Combs is not engaged to singer Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, despite some published reports to the contrary.

“Contrary to tabloid reports, there is no engagement. This was a complete fabrication,” states Combs’s rep.

Combs, 38, signed the singer, now 21, to his label Bad Boy Records, which released her debut album Cassie in 2006.

Still, as Ventura told PEOPLE July 9 at DJ Cassidy’s birthday party in Manhattan: “We are not together, but we are definitely friends.”

She also said, “We work hard together, so it makes a good combo.” (Source)

Jalen Rose Booked...

SMH… Jalen Rose is one slick muhfugga! While most of us were busy talking about him calling Duke University’s black recruit’s “Uncle Toms” Jalen was doing the most! The former NBA star was arrested just days before his “Fab Five” documentary aired.

Basketball stud Jalen Rose — a member of the legendary “Fab Five” squad — was arrested for driving under the influence in Michigan earlier this month.

Law enforcement sources tell us … the 38-year-old former NBA star was driving along an icy roadway on March 11 when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed.

Cops were called to the scene and Rose agreed to undergo several voluntary roadside sobriety tests. He was later transported to a nearby facility for chemical testing … those results have not yet been returned. Rose was eventually arrested for driving under the influence.

We’re told Rose was in his hometown of Detroit in preparation for the opening of the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy … a charter school designed to provide under-privileged youth with college prep experience.
TMZ spoke with Rose’s L.A.-based attorney, Keith Davidson, who told us, “We look forward to working with the authorities in Michigan and addressing these matters in court, not in the press. We have no comment at this time.”

First of all, we’re not really feelin’ TMZ callin’ Jalen “basketball stud” — that sounds like they’re ready to breed his azz off to the highest bidder… but more importantly how the heck did he keep this isht under wraps when all that media attention was on him????

Beyonce Knowles Headed to ROCNation???

Well it’s about time! Destiny’s Child’s last holdout aka Beyonce has finally freed herself from Papa Knowles as manager.

Beyonce will no longer be managed by her father, Mathew Knowles, her publicist said Monday.
The Grammy-winning singer and her father have parted ways “on a business level,” publicist Yvette Noel-Schure told The Associated Press in a statement.

“I am grateful for everything he has taught me,” Beyonce said in the statement. “I grew up watching both he and my mother manage and own their own businesses. They were hardworking entrepreneurs and I will continue to follow in their footsteps…”

BeyBey also pledged her lifelong love to her pops:

“He is my father for life and I love my dad dearly,” Beyonce said.

“BabyDaddy” Matty has been managing BeyBey since she started poppin’ her cakes as a youngster as part of Destiny’s Child and throughout her career as a solo cake popper. We have him to thank for overseeing all 50-11 of them L’Oreal commercials, her role in the Motown musical known as “Dreamgirls” as well as that horrible excuse for an updated “Hand That Rocks The Cradle/Fatal Attraction” AKA “Obsessed” as well as House of Dead Wrong operations, Nintendo, Pepsi and all the other jobs that keep BeyBey’s bottomless lacefront factory in production.

You know, stuff that kept him too busy to help poor Kelly and Michelle from falling prey to careers that only exist in Europe. Which is probably why they’ve both already dropped him.

Mathew Knowles issued a separate statement, stating the decision to split was mutual and expressing his love and pride for his daughter:

“Business is business and family is family. I love my daughter and am very proud of who she is and all that she has achieved. I look forward to her continued great success,” he said.

“We mutually agreed to part ways in terms of me managing Beyonce, as my focus is in the investment of Music World Entertainment’s growing gospel and inspirational music division, which includes Top 10 artists Trinity 5:7, Brian Courtney Wilson, Micha Stampley, Vanessa Bell Armstrong and Dr. Juanita Bynum.
He continues: “Because of the success of all of these artists, my focus has to be on gospel now. I am also still going to continue on with my joint venture with Columbia to work on Destiny’s Child and develop new artists, like the UK pop band From Above, plus Music World’s kids music division.”

Noel-Schure didn’t comment on who Beyonce’s new manager would be.

And pops had his to say about his replacemacement:

“Beyonce has the knowledge and experience to make that decision and no final decision has been made yet,” Matthew says.
